Grinding discs fail in two ways. They come apart, or they stop cutting. Signi Slotted Fibre Discs are engineered against both.
The body carries an embedded fibre-mesh framework, resin cured into a single unit. That reinforcement is what resists cracking, edge breakdown and fragment ejection when the disc is loaded at full speed — the moments where an unreinforced bonded disc is most vulnerable.
The face is openly slotted. Swarf and heat clear through the slots rather than packing into the abrasive, so the disc keeps biting and the workpiece stays below burn temperature. The difference shows on long welds and large plate work, where a closed face loads up and glazes over.
Across grits 8 to 120 and sizes 4" to 7", a single product family is specified for the entire sequence — from stripping heavy scale down to the last pass before polish.
